ReCon Soil Principal Investigator Professor Mark Fitzsimons and Research Fellow Dr Kate Schofield have contributed to a newly released research briefing from the UK Parliament Office for Science and Technology, evaluating the state of England’s agricultural soils and soil stewardship opportunities. Their research has contributed to highlighting the circular economy of soils by re-purposing waste soils (such as construction soil) for agricultural use by treating them with appropriate nutrients and biological additions.
