To align with the Geological Society Year of Sustainability the Contaminated Land Group (CLG) is pleased to announce it will be hosting a conference on the topic of Climate Change and Sustainability, Impacts and Innovation in Contaminated Land. The conference is set for November 2022 and is to be held in person in the Bristol area (final date and venue tbd).

The broad themes of the conference are:

  • Potential impacts of climate change on brownfield sites;
  • Potential changes to drivers for contaminated land development as a result of climate change and/or sustainability/resilience strategies;
  • Industry sustainability/resilience guidance;
  • Presentation of innovative technologies for the improvement of sustainability/resilience; and
  • Best practice case studies being implemented for the improvement of sustainability/resilience in contaminated land.

If you would be interested in presenting a 20–25-minute talk at the conference, or a poster, please register your interest and submit a short abstract to the committee by downloading an abstract submission form and following the instruction on the event page at the link below:
