Celtic enGlobe is a specialist, contaminated land remediation contractor. Established in 1992, our experience is based on involvement in over 1,000 contaminated sites in the UK, and as a subsidiary of the EnGlobe Corp of North America, this extends to over 6,300 sites internationally. We can select and integrate from over 30 remediation technologies to design and deliver value engineered remediation schemes to solve complex challenges. Our UK operations are supported from regional offices at Cardiff, Reading, Solihull, Warrington and Leeds. In the UK we hold accreditations to ISO 9001, 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
Dounreay Site Restoration Limited (DSRL) is decommissioning Britain's former centre of fast reactor research and development. Owned by a consortium of Cavendish Nuclear, CH2M and AECOM, DSRL is funded by the NDA. The site is being returned to as near as practicable its original condition by; decommissioning and demolishing nuclear and non-nuclear facilities; segregating and packaging radioactive and non-radioactive wastes for storage or disposal; characterisation and remediation to ensure the site is safe for future generations. The experimental nature of many of its facilities means decommissioning requires innovation and great care, with Dounreay recognised as one of Europe's most complex nuclear site closure projects.

NDA is an executive non-departmental public body, sponsored by the Department of Energy & Climate Change (DECC). We are the strategic authority with responsibility for the civil public sector nuclear estate. We own 17 nuclear sites, their liabilities and assets. This includes the first generation of Magnox power stations, various research and fuel facilities and our largest, most complex site, Sellafield. Our core objective is to ensure that these sites are decommissioned safely, securely, cost effectively and in ways that protect the environment.
