National House-Building Council (NHBC) has now officially withdrawn its support for the 2007 guidance document: Evaluation of development proposals on sites where methane and carbon dioxide are present, following the transitional arrangement. The updated guide Hazardous Ground Gas - An essential guide for housebuilders, 2023 should now be used and referenced. The updated guide is available to download here.
