Defra publishes its 2020/21 progress report for the 25 Year Environment Plan. The 25 Year Environment Plan sets out the governments goals for improving the environment, ensuring protection and enhancement of the vital natural capital for future generations to enjoy. This second annual progress report describes where progress has been made towards achieving the long-term vision of the plan. It also highlights the serious challenges that still remain in improving the environment within a generation and which we are committed to addressing.
