We are delighted to be hosting the Recon Soil Networking Event in celebration of World Soil Day on Monday 5th December 2022.

ReCon Soil brings together scientists, industry, and educators to revolutionise how waste material from construction projects is managed, both from a scientific and regulatory perspective. As part of this project, researchers at Eden Project Learning designed a long-term experiment hosted at Bicton College. A series of soil stockpiles were created in August 2022 and sown with different cover crops. These are being sampled and analysed monthly, examining changes in carbon and nitrogen content, and microbial activity, at different depths within the piles. The site is being used as a demonstration for industry and as a training tool for Plant Operations students at Bicton College and beyond.

Join us at the forefront of change, gaining insight into the work of the ReCon Soil project as we discuss bringing innovative ideas into reality.
